An ex-con on trial for the murder of an off-duty city police officer bragged from his hospital bed just days after the shooting that he would be a "prison king" for spilling Finest's blood, a witness testified Friday. Nurse aide Andrea Bishop said Steven Armento let it slip while she was bathing him while he was hospitalized with wounds suffered in the shooting that killed Officer Daniel Enchategui.
"He said, 'I'm going to be king in jail for killing a cop,'" Bishop said. “He constantly bragged about the notch on his belt for killing a police officer.” RELATED: ARMENTO HAD A SHOOTING AT HOME A petite Jacobi Medical Center employee said Armento's outburst in the surgical intensive care unit occurred after he pelted her with a series of sexual insults.
