The streets around Harrison High School in Harrison, New Jersey were filled with mob look-alikes yesterday morning after an open casting call for the hit HBO series "The Sopranos" closed the door early, with a turnout that exceeded the expectations and capabilities of local cops.
By 10 o'clock in the morning. So many applicants arrived that Harrison police called for backup. By 11 a.m., 150 officers, including the city's SWAT team, police officers from Newark, East Orange and Lyndhurst, and the Hudson County Sheriff's Office, began to disperse the crowd. “The police were afraid of a stampede,” an HBO spokesman said.
