The other day, when we criticized President Bush's clemency for Brooklyn housing scammer Isaac Tussey as "inexcusable," we said it reeked of either a cheap political deal or stupidity. In fact, it was both, and now Bush has not pardoned Tussy.
But apparently I didn’t read it. It wasn't until the Daily News asked tough questions about a man who had robbed and defrauded hundreds of people that Bush, in what appeared to be an awkward presidential first step, rescinded the pardon of a man who never deserved to clear his name.
