Tony Parker won't be playing in the pick-and-roll with Amar'e Stoudemire anytime soon. Parker, who told friends he wanted to play in New York, was given 50 million reasons why it was in his best interest to remain with the San Antonio Spurs. Parker, a former All-Star point guard, signed a four-year extension with the club valued at $50 million.
"It's great for him," Knicks center Ronny Turiaf said of his fellow Frenchman. "I always thought he would stay in San Antonio. It's a good story when a guy gets drafted, wins a few championships and stays there." In fact, the Knicks are hoping that's not the case with Chris Paul and Deron Williams.
