The latest drama playing out at Silvercup Studios is very real. The production crew behind the HBO hits "The Sopranos" and "Sex and the City" filed a lawsuit today to block construction of a power plant next to its studio on the banks of the East River in Queens.
Silvercup also says noise and vibration from the house-sized plant will interfere with filming at studios it wants to build next to the Vernon Boulevard site. near the Queensboro Bridge. Studio President Stuart Suna says the company will expand to New Jersey instead if the power plant is built.
