THE SOPRANOS, Sunday at 9 on HBO. The second season of "The Sopranos" began in January with swagger, with Sinatra's "It's Been a Very Good Year" underscoring a bittersweet montage of silent scenes detailing the recent fates of key players in the family's New Jersey gangster saga.
In between, The Sopranos briefly stumbled, lost focus and drifted for a few episodes before roaring back with a second half that returned it to undisputed possession of the Best Drama on TV title. The nadir of the second season was the fourth episode, which chronicles the journey of Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini) and his team to Naples.
