Actor Lillo Brancato's co-defendant wants him to remain silent about their role in the murder of an off-duty Bronx police officer. Enraged by a New York magazine article full of Brancato's jailhouse photos, Steven Armento's lawyer now wants his case to be tried separately and for the judge to issue an injunction against all parties, the Daily News has learned.
Flack will also ask Judge Stephen Barrett to prevent Brancato and his lawyer Mel Sachs from discussing the case publicly. "Bill was furious when he opened New York magazine this week and read a detailed report on how Brancato and Armento killed a police officer," the source said.
