For some, Al Pacino will forever be the Godfather. For actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson, he's more like a dad.
The evening also included a surprise appearance by Bette Midler, who an insider said shocked event organizers because she was not expected to attend. At the gala, Pacino found himself a largely absent father, popping out of the stage doors long enough to remove his sunglasses and pose for a few photos before rushing back to the theater.
