Much of New York's film community stayed in France this week for a festival they're hosting there, resulting in a week largely spent at art houses. The Film Center celebrated often-underappreciated golden-era film actors Charles Boyer and Jennifer Jones, and Stranger Than Fiction screened the superb documentary When We Were Kings at an event at the Woodstock Film Festival.
At the Times Center, a select group of indie stalwarts paid tribute to actor and director Stanley Tucci. Stanley Tucci and Friends at MoMI On Wednesday night at the Times Center, the Museum of the Moving Image returned from hiatus (its theater is currently undergoing a major expansion) to host an informal tribute to actor Stanley Tucci.
