It may be an off-year election, but local radio will be broadcasting the entire New York mayoral race, the New Jersey gubernatorial race and various other contests - such as the New Jersey Assembly and New York's 23rd Congressional District - as results come in Tuesday night.
“We'll go live at 7,” says news director Eric Scott of WKXW (101.5 FM). "And we're looking at a very late night. It wouldn't surprise me if I'm still on the air at 5 a.m." In the city, WCBS-AM (880) and WINS (1010 AM) will begin full election coverage at 7, although WINS will not carry full-time coverage.
