The Road to Guantanamo is the sadly timely and true story of the Tipton Three, a group of British Muslims who were held in the US military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
The film premiered at this year's 2006 Berlinale, where it won the Silver Bear for Best Director and became one of the festival's most talked about films. “We think this film is a visceral gut punch that will make everyone think about Guantanamo in new ways,” Howard Cohen, co-president of Roadside Attractions, said in a statement when he acquired the film back in March.
