He had a dream about Brooklyn and now he made a Brooklyn movie called Made in Brooklyn. “It was chosen from more than 5,000 films from 79 countries to open the Brooklyn Film Festival,” says director Luca Palanca of Windsor Terrace, the son of a Prospect Park West grocer who grew up spinning Hollywood dreams.
The film was a huge success at the recent Berkshire Film Festival, premiering June 1 at the new Steiner Studios in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, and will screen again on Sunday to close the local festival. “The people from the Weinstein Company emailed me that they had heard the buzz about the Berkshire festival and would like to see the film at the Brooklyn Festival,” Palanca says.
