Jeff Beck honored his late friend and mentor Les Paul with an intimate performance at his favorite jazz club, Iridium. The legendary Paul played there every Monday night until his death last August, so it was a fitting place to celebrate on what would have been his 95th birthday.
Meat Loaf, Little Steven Van Zandt, Zakk Wylde, Metallica's Kirk Hammett and many others clearly enjoyed the nearly two-hour set. The Imelda May Band, a rockabilly quartet from Dublin, supported Beck on stage. May and her guitarist husband Darrell Higham shared most of the vocal duties that evening.
