Summer is essentially over. Maybe not according to the calendar, but certainly when it comes to Hollywood. Iron Man 2 and Shrek 4 have come and gone, and for anyone who likes a $200 million-budgeted medical movie likely aimed at teenage boys, you're probably out of luck for at least a few months.
But autumn is a completely different monster. And more often than not, this is a monster that will become a good friend of any movie fan. Essentially kicking off as the Toronto International Film Festival winds down (Mark Romanek's Never Let Me Go opens Wednesday during TIFF, with Sundance favorite Catfish following two days later), the final months of the 2010 specialty release schedule should easily satisfy any movie buff's needs.
