After two delays, the television industry finally honored itself last night, with NBC's drama The West Wing, about a fictional White House administration, winning the most Emmy awards of any show - four - including best drama. The critically acclaimed series also won Emmy Awards for Supporting Actress (Allison Janney), Supporting Actor (Bradley Whitford) and Directing (Thomas Schlamme).
“It occurs to me at this time how proud I am to be part of a show that celebrates the process of freedom that makes this country great,” said Jenny, who plays the president’s press secretary. “The West Wing” entered the Emmy Awards as the second-most nominated show, with 18 to HBO's “The Sopranos” 22.
