Their money is among the 4 dollars. 7 billion is waiting to be claimed by the State Comptroller's office - and yours could be claimed too. State Comptroller Carl McCall is responsible for more than 16 million billing records.

Funds such as unclaimed security deposits, uncashed utility checks and long-dormant savings accounts default to the comptroller's office. The storage period for money is unlimited. Some accounts date back to the 1940s. A Daily News random check of 16 million accounts in the watchdog's database turned up a slew of other star names: actor Dustin Hoffman, supermodel Naomi Campbell, actor Willem Dafoe and rap mogul Sean (Puffy) Combs, formerly known as Puff Daddy and now known as P.
